Users access policy
The R/V PHILIA is a versatile platform for the conduction of fisheries, hydrography, biological, chemical, physical, geological and geophysical research as well as carrying out hydroacoustics surveys and support underwater vehicles’ operations in swallow waters and in the open sea.
The vessel and its equipment will be available at reduced price for training of students and young researchers through established agreements with Universities and other Academic Institutions in Greece, Europe or overseas, fishers’ associations and aquaculture/industry enterprises
The R/V PHILIA will be available for and accessible from:
- research institutes, universities, other academic institutions, in national, european and international level for the conduction of fisheries and marine research
- fishers’ associations and aquaculture/industry enterprises
During the RePHIL project
- a communication and dissemination campaign for the information of potential users will be conducted concerning the actions of the RI and the possibilities of hiring and usage
- calls of interest will be launched for research, training, education and other use of the RI, that will be funded for the use of R/V PHILIA for 50-60 days for educational and research objectives of other Institituions
Accessibility and terms of use of the R/V PHILIA is based on standard procedures applied in Europe and on the european platform EUROFLEETS (www.eurofleets.eu). The procedures that will establish a transparent, well defined policy, terms of use and scientific evaluation of proposals for ship- and equipment-time. Access policy will favor accessibility for the National, European and International marine research community along with scientific excellence and funding provision.
